How to take backup of your wallet?

  • Backing up your PalWallet is crucial to ensure that you don’t lose access to your funds. Here’s how to do it:

  • Open the PalWallet app.

  • Tap on'Wallet' from the dashboard.

  • Select the wallet for which you want to take backup

  • Ta pon the three dots (...) next to your chosen wallet to open the wallet management options.

  • Choose 'Wallet backup’' from the menu.

  • You may need to authenticate yourself by connecting your linked google account

Additional tips:

  • Recovery Phrase: When you set up PalWallet, you'll be given a recovery phrase. Write it down and store it in a secure location.

  • Secure Backup Locations: Consider multiple secure physical locations to store your recovery phrase. Avoid storing it digitally to prevent unauthorized access.

  • Encrypt Backup Data: If you back up wallet data digitally, use encryption to secure it. Store it on a device that isn't connected to the internet.

  • Regular Backups: Regularly backup your wallet, especially after conducting significant transactions or changes to the wallet.

  • Educate Yourself: Understand the recovery process for PalWallet. Knowing how to use your backup information to recover your wallet is just as important as the backup itself.
